Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Which Tesla models and years is this pretensioner compatible with?

Details

This pretensioner is designed for Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicles that use part numbers 1090322-C1-D (Front Left) or 1090324-C1-D (Front Right). Always verify your vehicle's exact part number, connector type, and mounting configuration before ordering, as Tesla periodically updates SRS components across production years.

Can I install this pretensioner myself?

Details

Professional Installation Recommended. Because this is a safety-critical SRS component, installation by a qualified technician or certified body shop is strongly recommended. After installation, an SRS system diagnostic scan is recommended to confirm correct operation and clear any DTC fault codes.

How do I know if my seat belt pretensioner needs to be replaced?

Details

Common signs include an illuminated airbag/SRS warning light on the dashboard, a pretensioner that has already deployed following a collision (deployed units are single-use and must be replaced), or a seat belt that feels loose and does not retract properly. Always have the vehicle diagnosed with a professional scan tool before replacing SRS components.
